Here is the original fuel sighting tube. The main problem is
that fuel decomposes the tube and after a few years gets brittle and
leaks, not a good situation. |

The other problem is that the original plastic fittings have a
tendency to work loose, also not a good thing. |

Here is the new flexible tubing fittings, they are brass nipples
with the tygon tubing firmly attached. A brass wire goes the
entire length of the tube to insure the tube does not collapse and it
also damps level changes caused by turbulence. |
