Gas Level Sighting Tubes

Here is the original fuel sighting tube.  The main problem is that fuel decomposes the tube and after a few years gets brittle and leaks, not a good situation.
The other problem is that the original plastic fittings have a tendency to work loose, also not a good thing.
Here is the new flexible tubing fittings, they are brass nipples with the tygon tubing firmly attached.  A brass wire goes the entire length of the tube to insure the tube does not collapse and it also damps level changes caused by turbulence.
Here is the completed calibrated gauge, much nicer than the original
