Greetings from California

Hello people! I am a 16 year old short, shirmpy, skinny high school kid that does nothing but study and play video games. I really hope that this can help change my current lifestyle. I avoid fatty foods because they just do not entertain my tastebuds, but I sometimes do enjoy a nice cup of tea with cookies. Could that be sinful? I have been trying to gain muscle for the past few years by just doing some crunches, but I have had no sucess since I have been doing it all wrong. . . I really hope that I am able to at least gain some body muscle. I am very new to this "bodybuilding" expierence and I have no idea what are "reps" and stuff like that. By browsing just one page, I learned a lot.
Somehow I manage to keep a very skinny body due to genetics, but since my generation is introduced to everything sugar coated, I really need to stop. I also have a very unsatiable craving for ice cream. It is almost an addiction. . . I'd like to regard myself as a rather proficient cook since I don't really want to eat oil-soaked foods and rather cook with fresh and rather healthy items. I can bake cakes even though it really goes against the "alpha-male" image, but being short, skinny, and shrimpy, I guess it really is nothing.
I also have rather overprotective parents that just only care about grades. I do not have a pull-up bar nor the push-up bars. I would be caught dead if I was working out instead of studying and my parents refuse to buy stuff like that. Are there any other ways? I hope I aspire to be at least somewhat muscular and I feel that this website is the one and only website that can help me even with conditions such as that. If there are other methods of working out, I would be grateful you can tell me. I am very fortunate to find this site.
