1: When showing the exercises, you said "do as many reps as you can" but afterwards, you said we should do between 8-15 reps. Which is the correct?
I think he meant aim for a dumbbell weight that you're able to do 8-15 reps in a steady movement. "do as many reps as you can" was for the body weight exercises... if im not wrong

Following Scooby's new teen workout plan. Can I add in shoulder exercises? If so, when should I add (after which exercise) and what kinda exercise to do?

Read the previous post by michael. Pullups, flyes, pushups, etc. are compound exercises that involve the shoulders. There is no need to add anything else for now.

Hey Scooby, I'm 15 and i just wanted to say wow...you are one of the most generous and inspiring people i know.....for you to give us YOUR time and YOUR knowledge for free, especially since many other rude people are not in your favor...is just a great gift, your videos are greatly appreciatted in my opinion and to many others. I do plan to meet you eventually when I get bigger and when im an adult. You and this wonderful forum are the things that keep me going, to exercise and stay fit. you've changed the lives of hundreds and added many long and healthy days to their years and mine, so i say this in the most nicest way i can.......thank you

I think this is a great basic teen workout. I'm going to give this one a shot, but add my own variations to it to make it harder. thanks for making this though

The comments so far are not encouraging ...
What? I've read through plenty of them and most of them were encouraging. It's just that some people think that you can start split workouts at the age of 16, which is still a year too early imo.

SCOOBY! Thanks so much. You are awesome. Great video. I just have one qustion. How long do we stick with this workout?
Till you are 16 or 17, then you can move on to the intermediate or advanced workouts.

This workout is for ages 10-17, the problem is that there is not one single shoulder isolation exercise I would trust a 10 year old to do alone - they would injure themselves for sure. As others have said, the shoulders get a pretty good workout as part of the chest workout.

Hey thanks ALOT for this Scooby. I did it last night and it is a really good workout. I got one question though, I can do 20+ dumbbell presses with the same weight as the chest flys. Even though you said to use the same dumbbells. Would i be able to put a bit more weight on, just for the dumbbell press? Thanks

Hello im 16 years old and i been lifting for a year scooby says you should work out the chest lats biceps abs triceps 2-3 times a week in the teen workout vid. i feel more comfortable doing the workout below. SO im confused on which workout to do the teen workout or mine Monday: chest tuesday: back Wednesday: legs Thursday: shoulders friday: biceps and triceps with 30 minute cardio 5 times a week
Maybe you should switch between the two, to confuse your muscles. That workout doesn't seem too bad, however shoulders usually works the triceps as well, the only thing I can say is a bit wrong really
