Scooby always says not to start weightlifting till age 17 but what can younger people do keep in shape? What kind of workouts are appropriate? How many days a week should be done and what exercises? How much cardio?

Good idea!
Many youngsters on youtube watching videos on how to get ripped, and unwantonly damaging joints.

Although this would no longer apply to me this would have been great to have in my younger years. Great idea and it could potentially be very informative for younger kids and their parents.

With the number of teens in that age group who are members of this forum, I think this one should be a priority!

Great idea... Being teen myself I choose exercises I do by stress they put on my joints, and always do high rep exercises - for example, I do biceps curls with only 5kg dumbbells but with 30 reps.

Fantastic idea! I am a teen myself and I want to be able to know what certain exercises are good for my age. A teen workout video is probably all I would ask for

Yikes, this one is unanimous so far, every voting person has rated this video idea as "Great idea for a video". Never would have occurred to me, its why these polls are such a great idea.

awesome idea scooby haha it's true that a lot of younger teens complain about being told not to workout before age 17. i think that creating an appropriate exercise program for them would help them not only in gaining muscle, but more importantly for combating obesity which is unfortunately becoming a pandemic as well here around the toronto area and pretty much all of canada

Well, this video truly would be for me. I'm 14 (I turn 15 24th July) and I have been already lifting weights, doing cardio etc. for over a year and have lost in total 35 pounds! I havent got injured in the gym / weightroom. I think cause of good and slow form, like you have always told to do! And it would be now fantastic if you would tell another teenagers how to get started, how they should train and what they should expect from it. =)

Yeah, this would be awsome.Of course now that summer is up, us youngsters (or most of us) have time to exercise 24/7, so this video is certainly one of the best ideas ever.Actually, I don't think anyone has recorded anything like this on YouTube either...But I imagine it to be different than that begginer's Push-ups/Pull-ups/Crunches superset

I think it would be AWESOME but I usually do the advanced and intermidate plans and just switch the days around so I guess it would be cool.
