You too can lose weight! Be thin & healthy!

Weight loss success story Alyssa lost 45 pounds and you can too!! She is one of the 2010 scoobysworkshop weight-loss success stories! Alyssa was overweight and unhappy. Although very young, she would get out of breath climbing stairs. Because of her weight she was unhappy and her self-esteem suffered. With her bad nutrition and cancer in the family, she was afraid of what might happen to her. Then she took control and turned things around! She started doing home workouts and got her nutrition in order. As her pants got looser and looser, she got more and more excited about fitness. No pills, no expensive gizmos but just old fashioned exercise and good nutrition. She did it, you can too! Are you overweight? Do you want to lose fat? Here is a beginning resistance band workout you can do in the privacy of your own home with just a $10 set of resistance bands. Although this is labeled a “Woman’s Workout”, anyone can do it!  Every weight loss program has three components listed in order of importance:

  1. Proper nutrition
  2. cardiovascular exercise
  3. resistance training
The above resistance band workout combines the last two into one 30 minute workout!  Proper nutrition does not mean diet so dont freak out.  Don’t overwhelm yourself, just start with a few healthy substitutions.

Alyssa’s story is very inspirational. Not only did she lose weight but she got so excited about her transformation and how awesome it made her feel that she decided to enter a bodybuilding figure contest! Guess what, she trolphied!   1. Funny and inspirational. I love the magazine-model-photo-in-the-cupboard trick.
    It’s easy to forget that looking great takes a lot of work and willpower. Most people just get to see (and sometimes touch) the end result.
