Live Back Workout With Scooby Sunday

Workout with Scooby!

Pullups (down position)Please join me for a live back workout this Sunday the 5th of February!!!   The broadcast is 1:00pm Eastern, 10:00am Pacific. To see when it will be live in your city, goto YouTube Live and look in the section that lists live broadcasts in the next 7 days. When you see my event, the proper local start time will be displayed.   The first 5-10 minutes will be warmup, then 40-60minutes of serious lifting!  Get ready for DOMS!!!!

During rest breaks in the workout I will answer as many of your questions as I can from the YouTube comments and my Facebook page.  All the exercises we will be doing are on my back exercises page, check it out if you want.

This back workout will be targeted at intermediate and advanced bodybuilders but beginners are also welcome.  For this workout you will need:

  • a set of used dumbbells and
  • you must have a pullup bar, get a $20 doorway mount pullup bar at Walmart if you have to but get a pullup bar.
Optional but helpful are:
  • A stepstool or sofa ottoman for the pullovers, otherwise you can just do them on the floor
  • A straight bar for the bent over rows, otherwise you can just do dumbbell rows

  • 10 min warmup
  • weight wide pullups (walk the planks for beginners)
  • Dumbbell rows
  • Narrow grip pullups (walk the planks for beginners)
  • Barbell rows
  • Pullovers

  1. Scooby, one more thing…I really can’t workout at home right now and I don’t get wifi in the little gym I go to, which has nobody in it when I go. Any way I can download these workouts?

  2. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate and have benefitted from your live workouts. I printed a custom workout plan from your site, thank you, and had been doing a few of the exercises all wrong. Also, I wasn’t warming up properly and pinched a nerve from that or bad form. Better now.
    Question; I have been going through the 4-6 exercises per muscle group in sequence and then starting all over. Should I be grouping two together until the sets are over and, if so, how do I group the two being done together? I’m guessing one pushing and one pulling exercise if possible. Any help would be appreciated.
    Man, you should have seen my routine prior to finding your site. Pathetic. I am truly inspired and confident with you as my coach. Thanks again.
    P.S. I will be supporting your site financially very soon. I’ve begun working full time after a lengthy period of temporary and unemployment, so I’m getting my disposable income situated now.

  3. Hey, been a fan of you for over a year and literally read everything that you have in your website. I attended your live chest workout both weekends and love the doms. Now to my question: Is it smart to start a half marathon program at the same time that includes running 3 times a week than doing your advansed intermidiet program? Last summer i ran a half marathon and been lifting for 2 years.

    This is the first time I have written to you but after seeing the latest news on your website, I couldn’t resist telling you how much I enjoy all of the valuable information you have to offer. I am 38 yrs old and have never been in better shape thanks to you. You are truly a great person to give back so much of your time. Everytime I have a question about working out, nutrition, or anything fitness related, there is something on your website that covers the topic. And now I see that you are offering live workouts with you for free ? That is the koolest thing I have heard since finding you on you tube. I wish there were more people in the world like you, Caring and passioate about what they do.

I believe that Michelle Obama should acknowledge Scooby for his efforts in body building and adding that he speaks about alcohol and drugs in his thoughts and information regarding the muscle building human being. I also recoemmend that President Obama take notice to Scooby’s ideas and offer support. MIGUEL

    1. I would like it if Michelle Obama would take notice of Scooby’s efforts. This doesn’t mean that Scooby is 100% correct however he is still in the long run of being prospectively healthy and remaining strong as an American in the workforce. Remaining efficient in work and strength and accepting changes is important as an American OR human being.

    1. Scooby’s advice is good particularly regarding alcohol and perhaps Marijuana and the whole concept of working out with weights in resistance strength. Our country is built on the strength of workers and production and fitness is every bit a part of making us strong mentally and physically.

But I would just like to give you a HUGE compliment on ALL the information and TRUTH you have given to us as the public and people in general.     1. Your comment notices the working person who has to tolerate the daily grind as reality expects of us. As a reaction to thoughts regarding this very thought, working out helps to protect us from injuiry in the workforce. Perhaps feeling sore from a workout helps us to notice that safety from other environmental factors in the workforce are pertinent in remaining safe. I’d rather be SORE from a workout than SORRY.

Scooby you just keep setting the bar higher and higher, reinventing yourself and your workouts… I’m so damn impressed… I would’ve never guessed an individual would come along and change the bodybuilding community as much as you have in terms of opening the door for millions around the world to workout right in their homes. I was I could better articulate what I’m trying to say, but this live workout series is anoth brilliant highlight of your legacy.

    1. I think it’s remarkable what Scooby is teaching us here in bodybuilding and his thoughts regarding nutritional, supplemental and thoughts regarding alcohol and marijuana. I do not agree 100% however this man places much thought and degree in his efforts here and at You-Tube. I believe this man should be noticed by the Obama administration and Wife Michelle.
