Please join me for a live question and answer talkshow on YouTube/live on Sunday the 18th of March!   The event takes place at 1:00pm in Sydney, for times in the rest of the world please see this.   This Q&A is to give my subscribers and fans in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand a chance for a live broadcast as the prior four live broadcasts have been in the middle of the night for them.  I apologize to those of you in Europe, you will have to stay up *really* late to participate.

I will have my complete home gym at my disposal so you can ask about form on particular exercises, you can ask about basic fitness,  bodybuilding nutrition, sports, weight loss, abs, my hat collection – or whatever.  Please join me for this live broadcast!  I will be answering questions posted in the YouTube video comments as well as on my facebook fan page Get Fit For Free.

  1. Hey Scooby, My aim since earlier in the year has been to do cardio for 2 hours a day. I don’t have a problem doing so, my problem is that it’s impossible for me to do it every single day as my body can’t keep up with the pace. What do you suggest for me to do? (I’ve been trying to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time if it helps for you to give a more precise answer). Thank you.

  2. my question is -I was diagnosed as terminally ill with my liver ( my drinking over the yrs.) q- I’m back lifting weights now at 54 yrs. and a big belly ?( 273 lbs. I want to get to a solid 175 ??? ) is it realistic for me and what type of advice cud you give me ? I want to get very muscular a hard but I don;t recuperate easily . plz give me diet and free-weight workout tips – Dale

  4. Hi Scooby, can you please put some light on man boobs. and how to get rid of them. I am a hard working person and can not afford any sort of surgery and an expensive gym membership.
    Secondly, I have a muscle knot on my left shoulder form nearly 3 years, i want to get rid of it. I started doing light exercise but sometimes its extreme pain in the shoulder and i cannot do exercise for next two days. Any suggestions on that. Appreciate for your help.

Hi, I was just wondering about my chest, I’ve been training for quite a while now and one of my main focuses is on my chest, although I have one problem, my chest is getting mass but I have a triangular shape cap towards the bottom of my pecs. I have done research on how to close this and some say lift heavier and others say i will never be able to completely close it, might sound silly but really bothering me. Have you and tips or advice please ?

  6. The man spent more than an hour to support our love for bodybuilding, I think we must appreciate that FIRST!. Remember that his theory is simple and helps us to achieve our goal without too much confusions. Bodybuilding is like religions, there are a lot of arguments about one small part of bodybuilding, problems happen when people start believing in many “advanced” tips, tricks, facts etc. If we just have basic but fundamental knowledge like Scooby provided us, we should be fine.
    Though I don’t have abs (not for long), I become more active, run faster, longer, smile more than I could ever do 14 months ago. Thank you, for helping me recover and strengthen my back, for giving me awesome confidence in social life and my everyday activities are now at ease.
    Haters gonna hate, just ignore them and stay awesome!

  7. HE SAYS HE EATS MEAT, YET HE ALSO SAYS HE IS A VEGETARIAN! omg WHAT A LIAR! Chill the fuck out. Who cares? He does follow a mostly vegetarian diet, just because he didn’t specifically spell it out to you morons you don’t have to freak out. His diet in the context of nutrition and body building is FOR THE MOST PART fucking vegetarian. Go find a new cause you tools.

Scooby ….I was doing my workouts , and exercise on a regular basis and eating reasonal well , but then some health issue came up and I barelly exercising , and my eating habits whent to the roof , I gain all the weight I had lost , I am not muscular at all any more …. how can I get start againg , get motivate , …. any chance of been in shape by summer ? I have gain 25 lb .
    Should I concentrate on aerobics alone at first ? ..please help . Thank you

    Re: HIIT vs Carb Cycling

    First of all, congratulations for your website. It has been helping thousands of young bobybuilders like me.

    My question is:

    I have got 10% bodyfat (2 pack), I know this is just a number, but since I have reached this percentage I cannot go any lower. I have tried your carbon cycling for 4 weeks (measuring any gram of food – about 150g carbs on the low days and 250 grams on the high days – no cheating or whatsoever) and did not reduce any fat or if so very little or nothing. Besides I feel so weak that I hardly can complete my diary 30 min cardio, my thyroid hurts and there blood in my faeces sometimes (I should be constipated), so I feel something is not quite right.

    I know that HIIT is a good option to get ripped (the old comparison between marathoners to sprinters) and I have done before it to reduce some bodyfat in the past (say from 12% to 11% but I think my body got adapted). The problems if I am in a low carbs regime for 4 days I cannot do it and I think that just 1 day to reload helps but not too much. So I can only do 1 good HIIT cardio in every 4 days…

    Do you thing I should increase my carbs intake to say 200grams carbs per day (and 10% less calories than required) doing HIIT cardio for 15min to 30min and some weight training for 30 min or should go back to carb cycling reducing even lower the carbs intake (say less than 100g) and do some ligther cardio (like walking – inside target zone) and light weight training. I personally rather doing the fist one and can keep doing it for longer…

    If you could help me I really appreciate. I really want to get ripped for summer and I would like to keep it for all over the year and eventually put on some muscle in the future too which in low carbs is pretty hard but again, but on the other hand it has to be efficient and I think I have reach plateau in the past on HIIT

  11. Hey Scooby, I am wondering what to do if my left arm is weaker than my right arm. When I do a bar bell curl, my right arm is stronger than my left, so when I lift it is lop-sided. Any suggestions?

  14. Will you guys please calm down with all the vegetarianism stuff already, geez. He forgot to add “pseudo” in front if vegetarian like he normally does, and everyone causes a storm. Easily angered much?

  16. I really hope this live Q and A isn’t completely ruined by trolls yelling that he didn’t write “pseudo” in front of vegetarian in his last article when talking about what he eats. For those of you who read the title and then started trolling, it was actually about the effects vegetarian diets have on bodybuilding, not his personal meat-eating morals.

    I’ve found a very very very very easy way to sort them out. get some medium grained sand paper and rub your hands across..
