Will Brink, one of my top five most respected fitness experts and author of Bodybuilding Revealed, has a FREE book available on Amazon.com! I dont know if this is a mistake, a sales promotion, or what but its FREE today. This Amazon.com Kindle book is worth who knows how much but its free now, their mistake, your gain! The book is called Fifty Shades of Whey and as you guessed, its all about whey protein! So many people ask what kind of protein powder is best. This is a very short book but its packed with information and will answer every question you have ever had about whey protein. This book is good enough that even when the promotion ends, I will do a review of it and put it on my recommended books list.
Whats the difference between whey concentrate, whey isolates, micro filtered whey, and ion exchange whey?? What the heck is bioactive whey fraction protein and hydrolyzed protein? Does whey help you lose bodyfat? Are their growth hormones in whey? Are there antibiotics in whey? Can whey help prevent cancer? What about glutathione and lactoferrin?
By the way, if you don’t have a Kindle, you can download the reader software to your PC or Mac to read Kindle books!
The one thing I would caution you on is that in his sections where he is talking about the unsafe things in whey, he never mention heavy metals and pesticides. Consumer Reports magazine has repeatedly found these dangerous substances in whey powder so although in this book, Will Brink makes the case that organic products are no better than normal products in regard to hormone content, organic protein powders ARE better in terms of heavy metals and pesticides.
Still unable to register on Scooby’s forum. Can anybody help? There’s a dropdown menu covering the fields that I need to fill in.
You need to put your IE into “compatibility mode” or use firefox, that will fix the problem.
I was having an argument with my friend who was basically saying “our bodies don’t actually recognise whey protein as food” If you google it there are similar sorts of claims on various health websites. Is this just mumbo jumbo? does your body really “get confused looking for all of the missing nutrients and start leeching them from your body’s own reserves” My understanding of digestion is that the body absorbs what it needs and excretes what it doesn’t, there is no “recognition” going on inside the digestive system.
Thanks for the tip, Scooby. The more info we have, the better. By the way, I’ve been trying to join your forum but there seems to be something wrong with the site. There’s a menu covering much of the details section. Help!!!
Scoob, good looking out, but saying “its free now, their mistake, your gain!”
is kinda weird, it’s like if your door was unlocked and someone started loading up on your crap and justified it by saying the same thing about you locking you door. I get the you are drumming up excitement, but the words “free” will work every time.
1.19 $ here in Italy. By the way if it’s good it’s worth it :)
costs 89 cents in amazon germany…
Sorry about that :( Still well worth the Euro :)
It’s free on the UK site. It may be worth checking regularly to see if it becomes free in Germany too. What happens if you try to download it from the US/UK sites?
Many thanks for the tip off, I found the supplement section in Bodybuilding Revealed very useful, so will definitely give this a read when I get a chance.
Women read fifty shades of grey, and men read fifty shades of whey!
I’m so out of it, didnt realize the title was a play off another title.
thanks for the info, downloaded, going to start reading today
Hahaha :D… I am gonna read this in public :)
