I am on a mini-cut for Halloween and Cauliflower Rice is an essential part of my fat loss ‘system’. There are a lot of ways you can lose fat and anything that keeps you in a consistent caloric deficit day after day will work BUT some ways are a lot easier than others. The absolute hardest way to lose fat is calorie counting without changing your lifestyle or your nutrition. The absolute easiest is making a few health substitutions, for example drinking water during the day instead of CocaCola. Cauliflower rice is a great example of a healthy substitution and I eat LOTS of it, its just shredded cauliflower and is very neutral in flavor. Because it has a nice neutral flavor it can replace rice, potatoes, and bread.
Lose fat effortlessly with cauliflower rice
The advantage is that since it is a non-starchy vegetable, an entire huge two pound bag has just 250 calories. What do you think will satisfy your hunger more, a handful of rice or a massive two pound bowl of cauliflower rice? A 350 calorie meal made with cauliflower rice and egg whites will satisfy the hunger of the most ravenous bodybuilder or performance athlete. I can guarantee you that if you find a way to incorporate just 150 calories worth of cauliflower rice in every meal that you will be able to maintain a daily caloric deficit without ever being hungry. A typical meal for me is a two pound bag of cauliflower rice (250 calories) with 7 egg whites (112 calories) fried in a skillet with a little olive oil and a lot of chili pepper flakes. The picture here shows todays shopping trip, yes, that is one weeks worth of cauliflower rice for two people – sixteen 2 pound sacks. You can see my protein sources for the week which are nonfat greek yogurt and eggs.
