Because of smoking, I never implemented cardio into my workout regimen even though I’d been lifting for 5 years before this dramatic change.
Displeased with my results and always concerned with sacrificing gains, I managed to convince myself to give running a try and ditch the horrible habit of smoking. I started unable to run half a mile and now run between 5-8miles per run usually 5 times a week. I am now finding a reasonable balance between lifting and cardio in order to increase strength and continue to gain muscle.
Quitting smoking, starting cardio, and losing bodyfat – you rock!!! Your physique transformation is a complete health transformation – congratulations!
