ADSB-out installationby ScoobySeptember 27, 2020October 5, 2020 Here is the monitor screen showing that the ADSB Out is correctly interfacing with the transponder to get its code (1200) and altitude (100'). The proper GPS coordinates for my hanger are indicated, and also my call sign is correct. The SkyBeacon simply replaced the existing nav/strobe combo. In addition to providing ADS-B Out, it also drastically reduced power consumption by replacing traditional lighting with LED nav lights and LED strobe lights. I also purchased a matching unit for the other wingtip (not shown) which provides matching lighting. The SkyBeacon required no wiring changes and is simply connected to the existing nav/strobe lighting. The only change required was labeling the "Nav" light switch with "ADS-B" to indicate that it is also being powered by this switch. previousFlapperon rigging photosnextoiling all ball joints LPS-2
